We are ideally located close to the Golden Gates, Sofiis’ka Sq, Independence Sq, Opera House, Pejzazhna alley and many national parks, on the 10 Observatorna str, 6th floor, apt 6 (the door code is 1010). Theenjoyable leisureis just 3 min from us on the Lvivs’ka Sq, you just have to choose between cafes, restaurants or bars where you can meet locals and make some new friends!
More: in 3min-walking area around us you can find: supermarkets, pharmacy, banks, popular Ukrainian restaurants "Дрова" or "ГалереяСмаку" where you can have traditional ukrainian lunch or dinner for only 3-4 EUR, patisserie, pizzeria, beauty salons, several coffee-shops, plenty of cozy cafes, beer pubs, restaurants and even more. | | Directions | FROM THE AIRPORT ”BORYSPIL”
In front of the airport you can find the POLIT (ПОЛIТ 322) bus, shuttle service at affordable price, it goes from Boryspil Airport to the Central Railway Station (ВОКЗАЛ - Volkzal), taking about an hour. Then follow the Train Station Directions bellow. We can also arrange a taxi for you in the comfortable car that would cost you 220 UAH (more or less 20Euro). You may pay in the hostel later. Also, we can provide mini-buses for groups. If you decide to take a taxi by yourself be aware of the taxi drivers, they might try to scam you and always negotiate the price before entering the car.
* Notice: Subway and the buses work from 6 am till 12pm ONLY!
* If you arrive by mini bus from the airport, you should cross to the other side of the train station (called old side) to start the following directions. To do so, when you see the golden domed church, you have to leave it behind and walk inside, turn right to the entrance going down (escalators and stairs) that will make you walk under the platforms, then follow the directions bellow: | | Transportation | FROM THE TRAIN STATION:
THERE IS A BUS LINE FROM THE TRAIN STATION, right in front of the building find the yellow buses with the number '18+7' (price is 2,50 UAH), the ride will be around 10 min (6 stops). Pay attention when passing the mini-park in the middle of the crossroad, on the right you will see huge unfinished building and straight after there would be the 5th stop “Lvivs’ka Plosha” (next to the big glass building). On the next one “Observatorna” you have to make the driver understand that you want to get out, because usually they don't stop without notification. Afterwards, you have to cross the road on the opposite side, go a bit back till the green fence with big unfinished building and before it turn right to the street. Passing by the supermarket “Поляна” and Hotel “Джерело” on the left side of the road you will see our D’Lux Kiev Hostel (10 Observatorna str, apt 6; the porch code is 1010). ANOTHER CHOISE WOULD BE TO TAKE A SUBWAY.
The Vokzal'na metro station is 100 meters to the left from the train station main entrance. Walk in there, buy a token per person, go down the escalator and take the right-hand train direction. Go to the “Kreshatyk” station (the 3d stop) and change underground to the Blue line (“Maidan Nezalezhnosti” station). There you should come outside on the street and go straight to the McDonalds that is opposite to the big Woman statue. If you look on the McDonalds, on the right there would be a bus stop with yellow buses. You need to take the bus #16 or #18. You have to go out on the 4th stop following the same instruction listed above.
*Also, from the Vokzal'na metro station you can go to the Teatral’na station, change the red line on to the blue one and go to the station “Zoloti Vorota” (Golden Gates). From there you need to walk 15-20 min to our hostel, passing down the whole street “Yaroslavov Val” till the Lvivs’ka Plosha. | | Airport | "Boryspil", "Zhylyany" |
